I realize I am slagging on the blogging front, but it is mostly because there is nothing new to report. Honu is tomorrow and I am so bummed I am not racing it. I signed up a year ago before I knew I was moving to Mexico and am wishing I were in Kona right now. I have lots of blogger friends racing it, so GOOD LUCK! I will be tracking you all online while I wait for my washer/dryer to be delivered. I hear it is going to be hot hot hot, but even hearing that doesnt make me feel better about missing it. Instead of racing Honu I will be traveling outside of the city to Ocotal to do some more trail running. I am just about to ramp up for the NYC half Marathon and whatever fall marathon I decide to do, and I cant think of a prettier place to do my long runs. Again we will be at 10,000 feet, but this time I will come with warmer clothes.

Last Sunday we got a driver and a maid/cook. This is one of the benefits of living in Mexico. I will never have to go to the grocery store or do a load of laundry as long as I am living here. The first few days I was hesitant to ask for help with things, but now I have our driver walking the dogs twice a day and paying our bills at the bank. And as soon as our furniture gets here I am going to have our maid show me how to cook some authentic Mexican meals. I cant wait. This is definitely a luxury that we will miss when I move back to the states, but it is the way of life here, and I am going to enjoy it while I can.
